Requirements: Business registration, Local registrant in Cyprus The document that is needed is an authorization letter from the abroad company, which has it's trademark authorizing the company to register and use the domain name. The authorization letter must be submitted on the letterhead of the company, signed from an official of the owner with stamp.

This extension doesn't have any technical requirements.
Registrations
.cy domain registrations are immediate.
Transfers
To complete .CY domain transfer, you'll need your current registrar to provide you the domain's AuthCode or EPP-Key to verify the ownership of the domain.
Transfers can take between 5 and 7 days to complete. Some registrars provide manual transfers allowing transfers to be completed on the same day, contact your current registrar to find out if they offer this service.

When the transfer ends, the expiration date doesn't change.
Renewals
The renewal of .CY domains is different than with other extensions.
It's necessary to request the domain renewal at least 1 days before the domain expiration.
In case the renewal request is done after this date, the correct renewal is not guaranteed.
Cancellations
It's possible to request a cancellation of your .CY domain, visit the support center to open a support ticket. Please note, cancelling a name does not provide a refund of any registration fees.
DNS modifications
DNS modification is immediate, please note they must propagate through the network, this process can take up to 6-12 hours to complete, until then the domain will still point to the previous DNS servers.
Domain owner change
Ownership changes are done manually and have additional costs, contact us via ticket in case you're interested in it.
Permitted characters
.cy domains permit characters from 'a' to 'z', numbers from '0' to '9' and hyphens '-'.
A hyphen '-' is not permitted in the first or last position of the domain name.
Two consecutive hyphens are not permitted in the 3rd and 4th position.
