What is a DNS?
The Domain Name System (DNS) is a global database that stores the locations of all the web pages in the world, this information is used by the different Registries to enable access to a hosting server when accessing it through our browser or FTP client.
The DNS records are in charge of translating the domain that we type in the browser to the IP address where the web page we want to consult is hosted.
When we type a domain in the browser it consults the DNS records for the IP it must access to obtain the requested content, the DNS records return that IP and the browser connects to it to obtain the site.
All domains need to have between two and seven DNS configured in order to function properly.
