How do I configure mail account in Mail?
To configure your mail accounts in Mail, follow these steps:
- Open Mail.
- Go to “Preferences” > ”Accounts.
- Click on Add account.
- Select POP (If you only use a device to check the email) or IMAP (if you check the email from more than one device) and fill in the data requested:
Email address: the address you are configuring.
Username: the email account name (firstname.lastname@example.org) that you are configuring.
Password: the one that appears in the control panel.
Incoming mail server if you have selected IMAP: imap.dondominio.com
Incoming mail server if you have selected POP: mail.dondominio.com
Outgoing mail server : smtp.dondominio.com
- Lastly, the messages are held on the POP server and could collapse your mailbox, you must therefore select on the Preferences > check the option Eliminate message from the server after receiving > select Immediately.
Once we have followed these steps the account should function correctly.
