I am trying to register a domain that appears as expired. Why can’t I register it?

Just because a domain has expired does not mean that it is already available for registration.

Many registrars keep their domains for a long time and even auction them.

Normally a domain becomes available 30-45 days after the date of expiry (expiry date), but the period could be much longer, depending on each registrar’s policy.
