How do I configure mail account in Mail?

To configure your mail accounts in Mail, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mail.
  2. Go to “Preferences” > ”Accounts.
  3. Click on Add account.
  4. Select POP (If you only use a device to check the email) or IMAP (if you check the email from more than one device) and fill in the data requested:
    Email address: the address you are configuring.
    Username: the email account name (name@yourdomain.com) that you are configuring.
    Password: the one that appears in the control panel.
    Incoming mail server if you have selected IMAP: imap.dondominio.com
    Incoming mail server if you have selected POP: mail.dondominio.com
    Outgoing mail server : smtp.dondominio.com
  5. Lastly, the messages are held on the POP server and could collapse your mailbox, you must therefore select on the Preferences > check the option Eliminate message from the server after receiving > select Immediately.

Once we have followed these steps the account should function correctly.
