What do I do if I have problems deleting FTP folders?

If you encounter an error when trying to delete a folder from the FTP, it may be due to various reasons. These are the solutions to the most common issues:

• The folder contains hidden files: You need to enable the display of these types of files (hidden) in your FTP client program and delete them before removing the folders where they are located.

• The FTP account you are using does not own the file: This occurs when you upload files with one FTP account and try to delete them with a different account, or when you attempt to delete files via FTP that were generated by a script (PHP, CGI,...) or installation program (PHPNuke,…).

• The folder does not have the correct permissions. You can check the folder's permissions and verify if "Full" permission is enabled to ensure you can execute modifications, deletions, or content creation in it.

Try to use the owning FTP account.

In any case, you can always request technical support for the deletion of a problematic folder through the tickets in your Client Area.
